Free Motion Stitching & Appliqué with Kellie Wulfsohn from “Don’t Look Now”
Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 February
In this technique class Kellie will teach you raw edge appliqué and free motion
stitching for which she is renown. Kellie’s classes are fun and very informative
– get ready for two days of making a cushion and learning lots of skills. Cost
$200
Daisy Chain Cushions with Kerry Gavin – 2 session workshop
17 March & 14 April Create your very own Modern Home Decorator cushions
with perle thread “Daisy Chain” stitchery embellishment. Kerry will guide you
through the simple yet creative stitch process in class one and in class two
you will learn the correct process of making your cushion. Cost $70 1pm –
3pm
Block of the Month with Samantha–Starts Saturday 14 April
Join Samantha in 2012 for this very exciting New BOM. A combination of
cotton and wool fabrics mixed with paper piecing and appliqué makes this
quilt very different. No previous paper piecing or wool appliqué experience
necessary. Initial deposit of $160 required
Saturday 14 April, 12 May, 9 June, 7 July, 18 August,
1 September, 13 October and 10 November.
Monthly Applique Program commencing Sunday 4 March with Sue Cody
Over 4 months Sue will guide you through one of her wonderful quilt designs as
you create your own heirloom quilt. One place only available- cost $340 for a
session each month for 4 months.
Tuesday 1 May - Beginners Patchwork with Wendy Saclier
Ever popular Wendy Saclier. Over 8 weeks Wendy will teach the basics for
strip piecing, appliqué, hand piecing, and foundation techniques. You will be
able to complete your quilt during the program. The perfect way to get you
started on the journey of your first quilt. Day and evening classes available
10am-12.30pm or 6.00pm to 8.30pm. Cost $165 for 8 sessions
Beyond Beginners Dressmaking with Lyn Pearson–Starts Wednesday 2
May This series is designed for those who have mastered the basics, know
how to sew straight, finish seams but need help with reading instructions,
pattern layout & sewing techniques. In this class you will construct a shirt
incorporating some of the following techniques:- buttonholes, interfacing,
gathers and other techniques not learnt in the introduction class. Cost $165
Wednesday evenings 6pm– 8.30pm for 6 weeks
Pattern Drafting with Maria Opresnik – Saturday 5th May
10am – 5pm Would you like to learn how to make patterns for dresses and
sleeves that fit you like a glove? Are you tired of spending hours adjusting
patterns only to find they still don’t fit? You will learn how to make patterns in YOUR measurements . Learn the tricks
of the trade, giving you confidence to sew for yourself and even others. On
the day you will make a dress, sleeve and collar pattern. Be personally fitted
by Maria in a calico dress pattern and then shown how to modify the pattern in
your chosen design.

Pants Pattern Drafting with Maria Opresnik – Sunday 6th May
10am – 1pm Would you like to learn how to make patterns for pants that fit
you like a glove? Are you tired of spending hours adjusting patterns only to
find they still don’t fit?
Then why not come along to a pants pattern drafting workshop where you will
learn how to make patterns in YOUR measurements the quick and easy way.

Free Machine Quilting with Deb Louie Saturday, Sunday 2 & 3 June Over two
days Deb will take you from a complete novice with free machine quilting to
quilting with confidence. Very limited places available so be quick. Benefit

One Day of Filler stitches with Deb Louie Friday 1 June
So you have mastered free machine quilting but don’t know where to go
next. Enjoy this great day with the inspiring Deb Louie to get your quilting to
the next level of interesting patterns. Must be competent with free machine
quilting. Cost $100 for the day.

July Jenny is a talented art quilter who is happy to share her techniques to develop your own portrait quilt. An entertaining two days where you can
start to construct your own portrait quilt. A pre-session is scheduled Class
