Meet the staff at Addicted to Fabric


Kerry A national and international award winning quiltmaker, Kerry Gavin manages the vast patchwork collection. Kerry is affectionately known as our passionate Quiltmaker In Residence - she never sleeps.
Irma Silk is her passion - all those colours, she just loves them. But, then again, the Japanese fabric is delicious too!
Sarah The princess of kits and gift wrapping- a recent convert to the joys of stitching but fast making up for lost time. Loves spots and dots and is responsible for their inclusion in many of our kits.
Alison Loves patchwork embroidery and doll-making - the life of the party in the store
Michele Loves all fabric and anything to do with fabric. She is currently studing textiles at the Australian National University School of Art and is particularly interested in extreme garment construction and fabric collage.
Alex Alex is our new Girl Friday ( Monday to Thursday as well!) . She loves all things vintage, dressmaking and buttons. Since joining the staff, Alex has discovered quilting and is well on the road to ruin, like the rest of us.
Katherine Katherine loves sewing, mainly patchwork. She also enjoys making soft toys and bags and is responsible for many of our shop samples and kits in this area.
Kylie Kylie believes she could not be working in a more appropriately-named store and puts fabric in the same category as oxygen. She finds it hard to resist turning beautifully designed prints into children's clothes and thinks quilts make the best gifts!
Taryn Taryn works some weekends at Addicted to Fabric in order to finance her obsession with delicious fabric. Taryn also designs and makes a range of plastic-covered bags, teaches bag classes, and has developed a series of patterns for her bags that are available in store now
Jenny Recently a grandmother for the third time- pays the bills, buys lots of fabric and talks a lot about the quilts she will do one day……..
